So this is the first day of a month travelling with the daughter number one - how will it go? Well that remains to be seen but so far so good - we got the bus from our hometown - on time - for us, not necessarily for the bus company (but close enough) and had a fairly good journey, she ate, she slept, she ate again and I joined in occasionally with the eating - it worked pretty well overall! We got to our destination, after a little advice, got the hoppa bus to our hotel and found ourselves all checked in and benefitting from a FREE COOKIE which was not only very tasty, but was FREE! Don't get that very often these days!
Hotel room is good and takeaway chicken and chips with the addition of a bottle of red wine (good job she's well over 18) has gone down well, although the bed is now covered in greasy breadcrumbs which might or might not help me sleep - well, we'll see! Hopefully her cold will not keep either of us awake after the wine!
Early start in the morning to get to Heathrow for the first flight so fingers crossed that goes as well as the first day has gone, please xxx
